University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf

The Chair of Marketing and Management of Biogenic Resources of the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf is part of the Straubing Centre of Science, where six Bavarian Universities focus their research activities mainly in the field of industrial utilization of biomass in the chemical industry. The group of Prof. Menrad is for more than 10 years engaged in consumer and market research in the field of utilization of biogenic resources and renewable energies. More than 15 academic employees are for example interested in the attitudes and consumer behavior concerning this subject, in the market situation and future market potential of biogenic resources as well as in factors which support or inhibit market penetration. Additionally, the team deals with the acceptance of renewable resources, public participation concepts and the management of value chains of biogenic resources.
